Hi Amari gang! My name is April Dupré and I'm the founder of Footprints To Fitness, a health and wellness company whose mission is to change the perception of what it means to be healthy, especially in New Orleans, through Fitness Classes, Community Wellness Events, and Corporate Wellness programming. I'm a lover of animals, music, dance, corny puns, and a true New Orleans native.
My favorite meal is 5 lbs of crawfish, a sno-ball, and an order of beignets! It doesn't get more NOLA than dat!
Like any other New Orleanian, I love to eat and drink, however, I've found a balance between treating myself and staying healthy! Don’t get me wrong, I struggle, that’s a part of life, but I try not to let it define who I am.
I have a serious passion for health and wellness and New Orleans with 15 years of experience in the industry. I've been passionate about wellness my entire life starting as a dancer and athlete; later transitioning into teaching dance, fitness, Health and Physical Education.
I have a Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise Physiology along with being a certified fitness instructor, personal trainer, and CPR instructor. Fun fact, I was also a member of the New Orleans Saints Saintsations Dance Team. I've devoted a huge part of my life to educating others on taking charge of their lives and finding a healthy mind and body balance and wouldn't have it any other way!
